Chikusetsusaponin Iva induces apoptosis and inhibits proliferation in endometrial cancer via promoting reactive oxygen species (ROS) production

Endometrial carcinoma (EC) is an epithelial malignant tumor that occurs in the endometrium. It of great significance to explore new targets for improving prognosis endometrial cancer. Chikusetsusaponin Iva (CHI) a plant compound extracted from Panacis japonica which has multiple biological activities, including anti-inflammation and anti-tumor effects. However, its possible effects on EC are unclear. Herein, we found CHI inhibited cell proliferation cycle, confirmed by colony formation flow cytometry (FCM) assays. The results further stimulated apoptosis cells. Furthermore, noticed treatment induced reactive oxygen species (ROS) In addition, it could suppress Microtubule-Associated Protein Kinase (MAPK) pathway cells, thereby affecting apoptosis. Therefore, serve as potential drug treatment.
